BAE Systems Electronic Systems Symposium & Awards Recap

Last week, TEVET CEO Tracy Solomon and TEVET Senior Account Manager for BAE Systems, Kerri Lane, attended the BAE Systems Electronic Systems Symposium & Awards in Boston—an event centered on partnership, performance, and the shared responsibility of supporting the mission of the warfighter.

The day’s central theme, “Scaling with Transparency,” came through clearly in every session during the event and throughout every conversation. BAE leaders spoke candidly about the environment facing the aerospace and defense industry: evolving global threats, managing customer expectations, increasing production demands, and the need to deliver more, without compromising speed or quality. Their message was crystal clear: success will not come from any one company working alone. To achieve success, it will take stronger collaboration across the entire supply chain, with earlier alignment, better communication, and a shared commitment to solving tough challenges. TEVET is proud to collaborate with leading industry partners to drive alignment across the entire supply chain in support of BAE Systems’ mission.

As a trusted partner to BAE Systems for 17+ years, TEVET provides test and measurement equipment, lab supplies, MRO, and factory automation, along with value-added services including eProcurement, warehousing, kitting, labeling, and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs. These capabilities help support BAE Systems by delivering operational efficiency, streamline supply chain execution, and ensure critical materials and services are delivered where and when they are needed.

Throughout the symposium, speakers emphasized that transparency is not just about reporting problems, it is about building and maintaining trust. It means sharing demand signals more clearly, communicating risks earlier, and working as one team across programs, suppliers, and partners. BAE’s leaders also reinforced that quality, on-time delivery, and accountability remain essential as the industry scales to meet growing mission needs. Through its regular meetings and collaboration with organizations like BAE, TEVET works closely with key project stakeholders to proactively identify challenges early, minimize delays, and support successful project delivery.

Another powerful message spoken throughout the event was purpose. From senior leaders to former warfighters, the discussions consistently tied operational excellence back to the people who rely on these mission critical systems in the field. This message is what drives the TEVET team to operate with excellence and deliver the best products and services to their partners.

For Tracy Solomon, CEO and founder of TEVET, the event was also a meaningful opportunity to recognize a team member whose contributions have been woven into TEVET’s story from the very beginning.

“Kerri has helped shape TEVET from the start,” said Solomon. “As employee number three, she has dedicated the past 18 years to building this company from the ground up. In her role as Senior Account Manager for BAE Systems, she continues to have an extraordinary impact through her leadership, loyalty, and unwavering commitment. Her contributions have played a significant role not only in TEVET’s growth, but also in the strong and enduring partnership we have built with BAE Systems.”

For TEVET, the symposium was more than an industry event. It was a reminder that long-term success in aerospace and defense is built on trusted relationships, strong execution, and people who are committed to this common mission of excellence.

TEVET is proud to stand alongside partners like BAE Systems, proud of leaders like Kerri Lane who represent the company so well, and grateful to be part of a mission that matters.
